Combining traditional instruction with modern delivery methods, the program enables students to advance their education by pursuing a master\u2019s degree in engineering from home or at work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u201cThe college is well known for providing one of the nation\u2019s top engineering graduate distance degree programs, and we are proud to take our place among the finest programs in the country,\u201d said Christopher B. Roberts, dean of engineering and Uthlaut professor. \u201cThese rankings confirm that we offer strong graduate instruction with a leading-edge delivery system that ensures our distance students receive an experience comparable to that of their on-campus peers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wait, there\u2019s more&#8230;<\/strong><br \/>\nThe college\u2019s graduate programs ranked 38th among public institutions offering doctoral programs, and 67th overall, according to the U.S. News &amp; World Report\u2019s \u201cBest Graduate Schools 2014\u201d publication. The overall rankings also include several of the college\u2019s programs, with industrial engineering at 31st, aerospace engineering ranking 43rd and chemical engineering ranking 50th. Civil engineering received a ranking of 50th, while electrical engineering ranked 51st, computer engineering 62nd, materials engineering 66th and mechanical engineering 77th.
