As the South Region leader at Kimley-Horn, Angela Fann\u00e9y, a two-time Auburn civil engineering alumna (\u201904 and \u201905), expertly guides a team of over 750 employees and manages an impressive $250 million in annual business.<\/p>\n

Even before entering high school, Fann\u00e9y had already set her sights on a career in civil engineering, the only missing piece being the ideal university.<\/p>\n

“At the time I didn\u2019t know the right words, but I was looking for that \u2018student-centered experience,\u2019\u201d she recalls. Auburn University, with its inviting campus atmosphere and the esteemed reputation of its engineering program, provided her with the assurance of a personalized undergraduate journey.<\/p>\n

Following her graduation, Fann\u00e9y embarked on her professional path with Kimley-Horn as a project analyst. Reflecting on her two-decade tenure, one project remains particularly significant: the design of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.<\/p>\n

“One of the most challenging and rewarding projects was the design of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where I served as engineer of record and project manager for the site civil design,” Fann\u00e9y explains, highlighting the complexities of the confined urban location and the ambitious goals set by the Atlanta Falcons ownership, including the attainment of LEED Platinum certification.<\/p>\n

Demonstrating her ongoing commitment to her alma mater, Fann\u00e9y has served on both the Civil Engineering Advisory Board and the Engineering Young Alumni Council, and she actively supports Auburn through a scholarship.<\/p>\n

Her advice to current students is rooted in a philosophy of service and generosity: “In everything you do, from interactions in campus organizations to those with professors and other students, look for ways to add value and be in service to others. It might seem counterintuitive, but the more we focus on being generous, the more abundant we will find our personal situation.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
