A crowd of Auburn faculty, staff and alumni, including a special appearance by Aubie, turned out to interact with more than 150 graduate students during the third annual Graduate Engineering Research Showcase in October. Hosted by the Council of Engineering Graduate Students, students from all engineering disciplines presented their research posters in the Shelby Center\u2019s courtyards and were evaluated by 75 faculty judges. First place was presented to <strong>John Maddox<\/strong> in mechanical engineering for his research, \u201cLiquid Jet Impingement Cooling for Power Converters in Hybrid Electric Vehicles.\u201d Second and third place prizes were awarded to <strong>Richard Cullum<\/strong>, chemical engineering, and <strong>Yuanyuan Zhang<\/strong>, materials engineering.
