\"nano\"<\/a>On April 1, approximately 100 second- through 10th-graders attended the annual NanoDays event at the Agricultural Heritage Park. Hosted by the Auburn Council of Engineering Graduate Students, participants had the opportunity to be part of hands-on experiments at the nano-scale level, including creating a carbon nanotype from a baloon and hula-hoop and illustrating how an ice cube can melf a piece of graphite.<\/p>\n

NanoDays is part of a national program aimed to introduce the basic concept of nanoscience, engineering and technology to grade-school students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
