{"id":6667,"date":"2019-12-20T08:06:34","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T08:06:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ecm.eng.auburn.edu\/wp\/emag\/?p=6667"},"modified":"2019-12-20T20:38:38","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T20:38:38","slug":"mccrary-institute-partners-with-alabama-national-guard-for-cyber-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ecm.eng.auburn.edu\/wp\/emag\/?p=6667","title":{"rendered":"McCrary Institute partners with Alabama National Guard for  cyber training"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Auburn University, through its Auburn Cyber Research Center and McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security, is collaborating with the Alabama National Guard Defensive Cyber Operation Element (DCO-E) in Montgomery, Alabama, to provide training to DCO-E cyber analysts on Auburn\u2019s campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this effort, Auburn cyber researchers will provide subject matter expertise and technical support to the DCO-E through cyber analyst training, cyber range exercises and development of strategies to defend critical infrastructure across the state of Alabama. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eng.auburn.edu\/news\/2019\/01\/jason-cuneo-chief-technologist-cyber-research-center.html\">Jason Cuneo<\/a>, chief technologist of the Auburn Cyber Research Center, will lead the training. The DCO-E analysts will learn on Auburn\u2019s cyber range, a reconfigurable virtual environment used for simulated training and cybersecurity development.
