He submitted a winning drawing to Marzetti for the specialty food company\u2019s caramel apple dip packaging design competition earlier this year. Welch designed a caramel wave that splashes over the company\u2019s logo with apple slices floating in the dip. His concept earned him some sweet prizes \u2014 a Canon DSLR camera and an iMac computer with Adobe Photoshop, valued around $3,500.
