The Auburn Alumni Engineering Council annually inducts a class of seven candidates into membership to serve five-year terms. Nominations for membership may be made by fellow alumni, the faculty and administration, and friends of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. Successful candidates generally share a strong record of achievement in the field of engineering, complemented by service to Auburn University and the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering through alumni groups, advisory boards, and departmental activities. All of the departments within the college are represented, and the nominations committee seeks to recruit a diverse range of alumni to serve on the council.
