I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and hands to work skillfully.
Making a positive difference at work, at school, or in the lives of others is what Darahaas Nallagatla considers a good day.
“There’s goodwill in this world, and you often receive the same goodwill back from others,” said the doctoral student in computer science and software engineering. “I’ve carried the joy of helping others since childhood. Helping people brings me happiness,” he added.
Nallagatla is a vital asset to the college as a Cascade content systems management developer in the Office of Communications and Marketing. He ensures Auburn Engineering’s digital presence runs smoothly by managing web content, troubleshooting issues, and “stitching everything together when something breaks.”
“I help hold the website together,” he said. “I handle feature requests from communications and marketing and assist the department and administration with web solutions.”
Originally from Hyderabad, India, Nallagatla came to Auburn for his master’s degree and found a supportive community that nurtured his academic and professional growth.
“Auburn teaches a unique hands-on approach,” he said. “What you learn here is directly applicable to industry, setting up a solid foundation. Once you enter industry, you become an expert in that field. Auburn has given me the opportunity to succeed wherever I go, and for that, I will always be grateful,” he added.
