Auburn’s Baja SAE and Formula SAE student car teams showcased their latest models on March 12. Team members unveiled the 2011 vehicle designs in a rollout ceremony on campus that included breakfast, lunch, design presentations and an opportunity for guests to test drive the vehicles. The Baja SAE team will compete in three races this year, including Birmingham, which was held April 14-17; Pittsburg, Kan., May 26-29; and Peoria, Ill., on June 8-11. Auburn’s Formula SAE team was set to compete in Brooklyn, Mich., May 11-14.
